The Amarillo Fire Department released information about two vehicle fires, which occurred Thursday evening at 1609 SW Bowie and at 1800 NW Washington Ave.

According to a news release for the first incident, the fire department dispatched a single unit to a reported vehicle fire. When the unit arrived at 8:33 p.m., a single vehicle was on fire in front of 1609 SW Bowie.

There was trouble extinguishing the vehicle due to a leaking fuel tank, which caused a second truck to be requested to provide a water supply.
